Jaspar
Original advert from Braeside

A substantial 16.1hh gelding believed
to be Cleveland Bay X. A nice easy horse to ride. responsive without being
strong. Excellent schooling and fantastic easy jump. He would not be suitable
to a complete beginner as he is responsive to your leg but riders from
competent novice onwards will love him. Will carry a heavier rider
if necessary and we have been hacking him alone and in company over fields
and along roads through traffic. A fantastic hack. A vetting is available
for inspection on this horse and of course you are welcome to carry out
your own. A great allrounder. Great riding club type. Lots of substance.
Jaspar really is quite exceptional.
Purchase
I bought Jaspar on 19 August 06, and he
arrived from Scotland on 9 September 06. Four weeks later he bolted
for the first time and was referred to the physio and then the vet.
Diagnosed Disabled - 9 November 06
Jaspar was diagnosed by X-ray on 9 November
06 with in-operable spinal arthritis (bridging ventral ossification) ,
possbily due to a previous traumatic fall. He can never be ridden
again, as he bolts unpredictably due to the pain.
Tracing - Where did Jaspar come from?
Do you know where Jaspar (who may have
been called Jester) came from? Do you know what happened to him to
cause his injuries? If you have any information, please Email
Me. He is nine years old (born approx 1998) and has fantasitc
stable manners, a real gent to be around and perfect to turn out and catch
(he comes when you whistle). He also has a deep scar on his lip on
the left hand side.
